Behind Your Face
by Pamela Pribisco

There is a space behind your face
where someone like you is.

It’s not a he and not a she
and not a hers or his.

This is the space, where you erase
who you think you are,

And in it’s place, instead embrace
a “someone like you” star.

In this place of quiet grace
inside, but not too far

This open space without a face
is really who you are.

Go there when you need a friend
or in a troubled time.

You’ll always meet your starry self
waiting close behind.

And when your face has crumbled
like everybody’s will,

That precious space, your inner you
that always was...is still.
Artist’s Prayer
by Joan H. Ward

Father...
Let Your creations
    find a channel through me.
Let unique images take form
    manifesting through faith
    and inspiration,
to surprise and delight the eye.
Let Your Light dance and sing
    through me,
in a myriad of color and expression.
Let the work of my heart and hands,
merge with Your spirit of art
    to bring forth wondrous visions,
    from within me.
Let me create in love...
    to inspire
    to heal
    to set free
    and bring joy.
